Sharing my Altered Paper Bag &Card Gift Set for Die~Namites Blog!

Sharing my blog post over on the Die~Namites Blog that was
day viewed this weekend....you must stop over and see all the amazing
projects with the Die~Namites New Release dies...from our DT members.

First up is my
"Altered Paper Bag" and Card Gift set.
I used the "It's a Boy" Die~Namites Die (shown below).
I knew I wanted to make a gift bag/card set using a paper bag.

It's a Boy

I just love how big this die is...I die cut out "It's a Boy" three times...twice out
of Kraft card stock and once in blue check paper to cut apart the stars.
Popped two of the layers up to give depth!
I used Graphic 45's paper collections (Little Darlings & Baby to Bride) and embellishments.
I always make sure to finish the backs of my paper bags...it helps give strengthen.

Love the depth of popping up the die cuts give to your projects.
Don't be afraid to cut them apart and use only a piece or two.
Your dies can go a long way!
I used Petaloo flowers that matched the Graphic 45 papers...
I love the blue and aqua tones with the Kraft!

Now onto my "Bath tube" card...
I used the adorable

Bathtub
Again I used the Graphic 45 paper collections (Little Darlings & Baby to Bride)
I have to say this die is amazing!
I die cut this one out about 4 times in different papers..
I paper pieced it all together to create the different elements
shown in the die cut image....
"I love how it came out" my favorite is the rubber ducky, so cute!!!
I popped dotted this bath tube up to give depth...added some pearls and gems!
I am just tickled how this card came together.
"see how I die cut out another ducky and placed him"
adorable...

Clean and Simple Cards with Water Coloring Tutorial for Die~Namites!

Sharing with you all my clean and simple cards with water coloring tutorial....from the Die~Namites Blog,!
Be sure to jump over to the Die~Namites Blog for amazing creations from our Design Team....
Clean and Simple Cards
Who doesn't love the end of a work week, with busy schedules, etc.
It's Peggy Lee, here to share with you all. A simple card with water coloring tutorial!
I love to pile on many other products like (inks, gesso, fibers, stamps, etc.)
on my everyday cards, but
sometimes it's refreshing to make a clean and simple card.
That is actually what I have created here with just a hint of mixed media texture!

Shady Tree

 Water coloring Tutorial
Step 1. Die cut your Die~Namites Die,
I die cut the "Shady Tree" out of white card stock.

Step 2
. Using your inks or mist try your hand at water coloring with them.
I used my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist products....first I
used Tattered Leather glimmer mist.
Step 3. Dry in between each color of mist.
Step 4. Start with your lightness color, then keep coloring!
Tattered Angels Canary Chalkboard glimmer mist.
Next I used
Tattered Angels Chilli Pepper Red Simply Sheer.
Next I used
Tattered Angels Olive Vine glimmer mist.
Next I used
Ranger Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy.
Next I used
Ranger Distress Stain Spiced Marmalade.
Then I used
Tattered Angels Graphite glimmer mist to
add splatters....to give the tree and leaves a
weathered worn feel.

There you have it so simple and fun to use your mists, inks and stains...
to water color your die cuts.
Here is a side view of the "Shady Tree" I popped the die cut
up with pop dots...to give the image depth.
I just love how this card came out....love faint stamping with the depth of the tree.
Oh and by far my favorite is the water coloring, it's so fun...
Why don't you try this technique out, I know you will love it!!!

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy the fall season!

Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed Media Canvas-I am sharing an olde but a goodie....enjoy!
I got to have some creative play this week with a friend and knew I wanted to create a mixed media canvas for someone special. That is why there is no title on this art piece yet (I will post after I have mailed this art piece out)! This was a lot of fun to create...
It all started with a plan 6x6 canvas, I glued down some wrinkled natural tissue paper.
I forgot to snap a photo of me trying out my new find which was Martha Stewart Stucco Paint where I used Crafters Workshop stencils with Splash of Color Primary Elements: Majestic Blue-Costa Rica and Dragon Wing powders those are so cool to mixed with molding paste or stucco like I used.
I used my favorite Tim Holtz Sizzix die: Tattered Floral which I cut with Coraline fabric with some of my favorite Tattered Angels glimmer mist. I just love how the Coraline will hold it's shape while being dried. I also used some Petaloo flowers that came in white.
I used some Dusty Attic chipboard pieces, which I cut apart and gesso them with spraying glimmer mist to give a weathered look.
These are Tim Holtz Sizzix die: Gears gesso-glimmer misted!!!
I just love how they came out.
Here is a close up of the handmade flowers with a Prima flower.
The next sets of photos show case the textures of adding layers of:
gesso, stucco, glimmer mist and stamping.
the fibers are cheese cloth covered in glimmer mists....
oops-I was being lazy and used my hand to clean my stamp...lol
and whoola my finished canvas (only needs a title) and will be complete and I hope my friend that someone special will enjoy it.

Don't be afraid of mixed media grab a few supplies and just start playing, it's all about the layers...enjoy!!
Thanks for stopping in today, remember to leave a comment!!
